LIGHT JOURNALS
A LIGHT journal is a step-by-step study through a book of the Bible for women and teen girls. Each LIGHT journal is similar in style to the others but with a different format to fit the book it's studying through! This journal specifically goes through the book of Ephesians. It is a book that shows us how blessed we are in Christ -- how hopeless life was before Christ, what Christ has done, and how we have a rich and beautiful life if we follow him. Our goal is to Live In God's Hope & Truth (LIGHT)! Check out our other LIGHT journals in our shop!
A "SPREAD"
Each couple of pages in the journal (the left and right pages when opened) is what we call a "spread" that goes over a set of verses from the book of the Bible we are studying. This helps break it down so we can take it a little at a time, to truly read what God has to say to us in a way that changes how we live. He is our life (Colossians 3:4)! We pray this will be enriching to you, to your relationship with others, but most importantly to your relationship with God!
INSIDE THE JOURNAL PAGES
- Read > This section is a fill-in-the-blank for the selected verses of study. ***Since it is word-for-word, it is easier to complete with the ESV!!***
- So > These are questions taken directly from the verses, to help us actually think through what we read!
- Rich words > In some verses, there are certain words that bring powerful meaning. This section gives a simple definitions of those words within the context of the Bible.
- Connecting > This additional verse or verses help us connect what we just read in Ephesians to another part of the Bible. Although there are several different books of the Bible, God has authored it all! And there are so many connections throughout his Word.
- Thoughts > These are takeaways from the verses. (*limited edition - update coming soon with Notes area instead for your own journaling thoughts)
- Summary pages > Every so often, there is a summary of the section that was just covered to help thinking through the different verses together! The other side of these pages have a notes section.
- Connecting together pages > This is a space for an overview (artistic or notetaking) to write out the different parts of the section/chapter that was just covered - it can be used on your own, as a group, or as guided in the membership (see below!).
MATERIALS
- The size of the LIGHT journals are 7.5 in x 9 in.
- The journals are spiral bound with white plastic coil.
- Sheets are 70 lb thickness so ink will not easily bleed through.
- The total pages of the Ephesians journal is 258 pages.
PROCESSING + SHIPPING
- The processing of any order (prior to shipping) can take up to 5 business days.
- All journals are mailed using USPS Media Mail which can take 2-10 days.
- Total time = 1-2 weeks before delivery
DISCUSSION NOTES
The discussion notes comprise of a thought and a discussion question which accompany each “spread” in the journal. This is meant to encourage us to think through what we are reading and make it real in our lives.
PACING CALENDAR
The Ephesians pacing calendar takes the book of Ephesians as broken down in the LIGHT journal and schedules out what to read when in an 18-week period.
