What do you call God? The Bible is full of the names of God. It doesn’t mean he is a different person (The Lord our God, the Lord is One - Deut. 6:4). But it means we get to see the different facets of who God is. Just like some may call you friend, or sister, or wife, or mother, or daughter... and each name tells us something different about who you are and what you do. This is the same for God but on a much grander and divine scale. The names of God lets us fully see who God is. And this isn’t all of them! But as we look into how God’s people addressed him over time or what God himself told us to call him, we’ll get to see the God in a way we may not have really thought of before. So let’s look further at the names of God and what it tells us about the One we serve.
