February journal “unboxing”
This is the “unboxing” of the January mailer with the February journal!
This month, we’re studying the little but powerful book of Jude. Truth be told, I can’t remember the last time I read this book — but I’m so glad I did!
In it is a powerful and descriptive battleplan of how we are to act in the world. We see the world that’s under Satan’s control every day, but seeing it from God’s perspective it changes our perspective.
Moreover, Jude isn’t an informational pamphlet on how wrong the world is.
Instead, it’s written as a letter to a beloved.
That’s how God chooses to address those of us who are part of the Family of God. We are the beloved. And because he cares for us, he wants us to know what Truth is and what to watch for.
Satan may be the master deceiver, but God is the Master of all things. And he has chosen to lovingly guide us through whatever hurdles comes our way in life.
He is our ultimate love story - not just when we’re down or needing him, but always.
So this month is about hearing what our Beloved has to say.
The journal
In this journal, we’re going through this book little by little, whether it’s one verse or a few at a time.
Each spread has the verses on the page for one very specific reason — to take good notes!
Find what stands out to you, whether it’s something God said that you love or something that seems to really apply to what’s going on in your life. There is no right or wrong way to do it. Just enjoy journaling to help you think through it!
Studying the book of Jude takes us through the main 20 days of study. As in every everseeking journal, the “main study” can be done in 20 days, because we all have those moments where we get behind and want to give up — but that’s not what we’re about!
So we have 10 extra days in the month that are just optional pages: if you stay consistent in the 30 days, the optional pages are there with a deeper study of the book! If you can only do the main 20, you still have completed the study for the month.
In this journal, the optional pages take us back through some of the verses, but frame it a little differently.
We think through how we see that in the world around us today (the devil’s plans haven’t changed), and then we look at other parts of the Bible where God tells us how we’re to respond.
It can get hard constantly being surrounded by ungodly things, but thankfully, God hasn’t left us alone, trying to scramble to form our own opinions. He’s given us Truth by which we can live like Him.
The washi tape
As always, every everseeking journal comes with it’s set of washi tape: solid and patterned!
This month’s washi tape is a flowered or similar pattern with a matching solid color that matches the journal!
The mini soft bookmark
The next “extra” is the mini soft bookmark!
Sometimes it’s nice to have a way to mark what page you’re at in the journal, and this is the perfect way to do so! While this bookmark was intentionally chosen to match this journal’s color scheme, it can be used for any everseeking journal or your Bible to mark the spot that we’re studying!
The wax-sealed “love letter”
This is our main and favorite extra in this mailer!
With our “Beloved” theme, we wanted each subscriber to know that they are loved, very specifically, by their Creator.
So we chose a verse from Isaiah 43:4 that says, “Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.”
It’s a timeless truth from God to his people. Because he didn’t just a man in our place — he gave his Son (John 3:16).
And this time for our extra, we were able to customize each one, personally handlettering the names and the loving verse.
And yes, we also wax sealed each one of them by hand (which is a lot of fun if you want to try your own hand at it)!
So this was a love letter written and made with love!
